Gambit is a globally distributed startup - leadership and teams span Israel and the US - and we’re looking for a Workspace & Operations Specialist to run our New York office. At its core this is a hands-on operations role: you’ll own the day-to-day of our NY space and support our 30+ US employees (and growing), most of whom work remotely across the country, alongside a growing in-office team in NY. You’ll also be the first face of the company - for remote employees calling in, colleagues visiting from other hubs, and customers or investors walking through the door.

The mission: make our NY office the best place to work from, whether you’re based there, flying in for the week, or just visiting.

About The Role

  • Office operations: Run the day-to-day of the NY space - supplies, facilities, mail, and space planning
  • Primary point of contact: Be the welcoming face of the office for employees, visitors, customers, and investors
  • Culture & engagement: Partner with HR and Marketing on events, team offsites, and remote engagement programs
  • Cross-time-zone coordination: Align schedules and priorities across our Israel- and NY-based executives
  • Onboarding & offboarding: Manage equipment shipping and IT setup for all hires, end-to-end
  • Vendors & budget: Own vendor relationships and contracts, manage the office budget, and process invoices
  • Executive support: Support executive scheduling, travel booking, and expense reports
  • Safety & compliance: Maintain workplace safety and health compliance
  • Process improvement: Streamline internal processes to support our growing, distributed team

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in office management or operations (startup or distributed-team experience preferred)
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across time zones (Israel/US)
  • A welcoming, professional presence with a passion for hosting guests and supporting colleagues
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Hibob (or similar HRIS), Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and Slack
  • Self-starter who is comfortable working with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Discretion in handling confidential information
